SILVER CROSS FIELD A TO Z

Accessible-the main concourse is handicapped accessible through a service elevator located directly in front of the main entrance.

Baseballs-Be ready for plenty of them to come your way! With padded green stadium seats located throughout the concourse and the True Green Chemlawn Grassy Berm opening seating areas down the right and left field lines, there is no shortage of foul balls to greet  fans.

Concessions-Not to worry. There’s plenty of them at Silver Cross Field. Located conveniently within walking distance to all areas of seating, you can find everything from hot dogs to different types of draft beer on tap.

Evenings-Plenty of summer nights perfectly spent at Silver Cross Field. Most games start at 7:05 p.m. with Sundays beginning at 5:05 p.m. The one exception is Tuesday, which is the date for our …….

Family Nights-Every Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. Children that participated in Jammer’s Book Buddies program have the opportunity to exchange their vouchers for tickets to any Tuesday home game. All kids run the bases at the end of the game!

Great Promotions-Hats, bobble heads, fireworks, autographs….the list goes on and on. It’s all listed in the JackHammers 2007 Promotional Schedule!

Heritage Nights-All new for 2007! Six pre-selected Thursday games allow you to enjoy ethnic entertainment, food and fun at Silver Cross Field!

Interesting Stories-Whether it’s the JackHammers manager Hal Lanier, a former National League Manager of the Year, or any of the JackHammers players or coaches, you’ll enjoy a night of fun at Silver Cross Field watching players try their hardest to make the major leagues.

K-Batter-Also known as the Will County Bowling Proprietors Bowling Batter. If this player strikes out, every fan in the ballpark gets a free game of bowling!

Left field Rooftop-Technically there are no grandstands at Silver Cross Field but the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers rooftop is located just beyond left field. Miracle League of Joliet-A special rubberized baseball field designed to help handicapped children be able to play organized baseball. Currently under construction beyond the centerfield wall at Silver Cross Field, the Miracle League of Joliet should be operational in 2008.

Nightly Promotions-All-Faith Night on Mondays, Silver Cross Catch for the Cause Wednesdays and Friday Night Fireworks. There is a promotion going on every day at Silver Cross Field. For more information, head to the promotions page at www.jackhammerbaseball.com.

Outrageous Stuff-Ever see the DQ Dash, “Deal or No Deal” JackHammers style? The JackHammers hold outrageous between-innings promotions at every home game. Come check out a home game in 2007.

Spa and Party Patio-This unique feature to Silver Cross Field is presented by DesRochers Backyard Pool in Shorewood. Book a night for you and 25 of your closest friends! All you have to do is bring your bathing suit and a glove! The DesRochers Spa and Party Patio is available for rental on a nightly basis!

Talking-Whether it’s a church group, school function or your birthday party, the JackHammers are proud to talk to any-sized group. We are happy to speak to members of the community except Jammer, the JackHammers lovable mascot. That’s only because he can’t talk!

Ushers-Make sure you say hello to them! They are the friendly people with the Silver Cross Hospital Shirts! They’ll be sure to take you to your seat and do it with a smile!

Visiting Teams-We don’t like them but Jammer and a few other entertainers (Myron Noodleman among others) like to play games with them.

X-Rays-We don’t like to talk about these either, but, if the need arises the x-rays are handled by Athletic and Therapeutic Institute, the “Official Trainers of the JackHammers.”
