MIRACLE LEAGUE OF JOLIET

The JackHammers are committed to the community that has given so much to them. Whether speaking to your community or civic group or helping disadvantaged children realize their dreams, the JackHammers want to help Joliet grow and prosper.

Please scroll through the following pages to find out how to get us to speak to your organization or how you can request a donation to your next charitable event.

Please also take the time to learn more about the ways in which the JackHammers are involved in the community. The JackHammers hope that you devote some time to learn about these important endeavors and help us in our quest to make Will County a better place to work and live.

The JackHammers are building a Miracle League Baseball Field inside Silver Cross Field. The Miracle League of Joliet will be the first ever Miracle League Field located inside a professional baseball stadium.

SILVER CROSS HOSPITAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS WEDNESDAYS

The JackHammers are extremely proud to host Silver Cross Hospital Breast Cancer Awareness Wednesdays at each Wednesday home game in 2007. Fans have the opportunity to participate in “Catch for the Cause” and play catch on the field for one-half hour before every Wednesday home game. The JackHammers and Silver Cross Field have also teamed up to give away a screening mammogram to one fan at the end of each Wednesday home game. The JackHammers will wear special Pink Jerseys at every Wednesday home game, which will eventually be auctioned off at the end of the 2007 season.

For more information or to learn how you can participate in this important partnership, please visit the Silver Cross Hospital official website at http://www.silvercross.org/features/bcaw.htm

HOUSE-A-HAMMER PROGRAM

host families-bark in the park 020.jpg

Did you ever wonder what it is like to be a part of the JackHammers? Why not sign up for the House-A-Hammer program and house a JackHammer for the summer? Players routinely become “part” of their host families and get a chance to bond with members of the community that are kind enough to open up their homes to them for a few months.

The burden is a relatively easy one. The players pay their host families a nominal monthly fee to cover the cost of food and lodging. HOST FAMILIES RECEIVE SEASON TICKET VOUCHERS AS PAYMENT FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE HOUSE-A-HAMMER PROGRAM.

A complete program description and list of rules is attached below. If you would like more information, please call Sonia Little at 815-726-2255 extension 0.
